Iotatel is collaborating with FPInnovations to investigate how RFID technology can be utilized in the forest industry to track inventory and assets. Several pilot projects have been completed with coastal timber companies at log sort facilities and saw mills.

This project will "leave the ground" in 2019 when drone technology is integrated to provide fast and efficient locating of floating inventory and water-based assets.
